About

Welcome to NIVTA.org, the National Independent Vehicle Title Agents Organization. We are dedicated to fostering excellence in the vehicle title industry. Established in 2024, our mission is to address critical challenges within our sector.

As a non-profit membership association, NIVTA.org unites independent vehicle title agents, vehicle dealership agents, state affiliates, and associate business members. We serve as a platform for identifying and resolving industry-related issues, engaging with governmental bodies and stakeholders to enhance the uniformity, integrity, and efficiency of vehicle ownership and registration processes.

Our journey began in March of 2024 when our President and CEO, Beth Caro, founded the organization to foster collaboration among U.S. title agents and support State Motor Vehicle Agencies in their modernization efforts. Since then, we've empowered title agents, including third-party and car dealership agents, to shape balanced policies and prevent fraud. We provide a platform for innovation, advocacy, training, and compliance, fostering constructive engagement and operational excellence in the title agent-licensee relationship.

At NIVTA, we support our membership with a focus on education, training, compliance, and fraud prevention techniques in vehicle title and identification credentials. Our membership services aim to elevate independent title agents in the Motor Vehicle Industry.

Our commitment to technological modernization and innovation sets us apart. We strive to amplify the voices of title agents working within small businesses across the U.S. through our membership programs and webinars. We continuously adapt, improve, and innovate to better serve our members.

Join us on this exciting journey as we build the future of the automotive industry's title and registration processes. Together, we can make a significant impact.

Our Journey

  • AAMVA Region 2 Conference July 2024

The AAMVA Region 2 Conference in Louisiana is an annual event organized by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) for its Region 2 members. This conference brings together motor vehicle and law enforcement administrators from across the southeastern United States to discuss industry trends, share best practices, and address common challenges.

  • Maine E-Title Working Group

NIVTA was asked to participate in the e-title working group that the Maine BMV is doing to move forward in the electric title processing.

“The working group convened under LD 645, “Resolve, To Create an Electronic Titling Work Group,” sponsored by Rep. Bruce White, D-Waterville, will examine how Maine could move towards electronic titling for motor vehicles.”

  • AAMVA Region 1 Conference May 2024

Thank you to the AAMVA (American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators) community for welcoming our organization into membership. • AAMVA Third Party Working Group April 2021

“AAMVA jurisdictions utilize third-party agents (agents) to perform driver and/or motor vehicle transactions on behalf of the motor vehicle administration and in compliance with jurisdiction statutes and rules. In some jurisdictions, these agents are the primary service delivery networks for the motor vehicle administration. In other jurisdictions, these agents provide ancillary or specialized services to a specific customer set, such as dealers, or to a specific geographical location.”
